Eryngium
Eryngium, also called sea holly or blue thistle, has spiky, cone-shaped heads in steel blue. Each head sits on a ruff of silvery, star-like bracts. The spiky, globe-shaped flower heads of Sea Holly add texture and interest to floral designs. They provide contrast to softer, more delicate blooms and foliage. It’s a popular filler for modern bouquets, wedding work, boutonnieres and rustic or coastal designs. Vase life is 10 to 14 days. The colour holds even after many days in water, and the stems dry well.
